Gustav Stresemann (1878-1929), German Chancellor and Foreign Minister during the Weimar Republic, started together with Aristide Briand of France the first reconciliation between France and Germany (Locarno Treaties 1925). Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 1926. (See also Aristide Briand)
